Having just past my A-Levels („Abitur“ in Germany),
I spend most of my time at the moment sleeping, relaxing, eating & all the other good stuff I always wanted to do but never really had the time to (for example counting down the hours until the new „Game of Thrones“ episode is available). But I also used the time to reflect a little bit about my music, my goals & the way I distribute my music. I’ve come to the conclusion that merely writing my music and then putting it up on youtube, only accompanied by a (somewhat) boring image might not be the best way to present my music & myself.
So, I’ve come up with some ideas to create more engaging content:
- Create more diverse music. In the past, I’ve concentrated a little bit too much on writing these epic, huge, awesome trailer-music tracks. And while I certainly won’t stop making those, I’ll do my best to try out some different styles – different kinds of filmmusic-styles aswell as other genres (maybe chiptune, dub, rock? We will see).
- Post new content on a regular basis. That doesn’t mean that I’ll upload a new track every week – I wouldn’t manage to do that, especially with my full-time internship with ROTOR FILM ahead, starting september. But I want to share a little bit of my life, at least when something happens that I deem interesting enough, with you, so I’ll post pics, videos I like, articles (music and non-music related). It is worth mentioning that I’ll be doing that through Facebook and Twitter mainly – so make sure to follow me there (haha, I love cross-selling :D)
- Introduce more diverse content on youtube. That includes making more interesting videos (slideshows & nice footage) that go along with my new tracks (like my new track which you can listen to & watch below), but also maybe some tutorials, „behind the scenes“/vlogs, etc. So, if you have questions, if you want to know more about how I do the music I do or just want to hear me speaking in this charming manner which is so distinctive about me, just hit me up via twitter, facebook or mail 🙂
But for now, enough of the talking, here is my semi-new track „Brave New Day“, an calm but still huge and epic hymn-style track I wrote using my beautiful sounding EWQL Hollywood Strings, Brass, Woodwinds, QL Symphonic Choirs and some percussion that I don’t remember what it’s called 😀
Also, it is available on audiojungle so that you can use it in your projects, etc.: http://audiojungle.net/item/brave-new-day-epic-hymn/15763676
I believe that’s it! Feel free to share my music if you like it & let me know what you think!
P.S.: I’ve thought about making a „best-of“ album of some of my tracks available through bandcamp (http://georgmausolf.bandcamp.com) so that you can download them and listen to them ANYWHERE you want without having to stream them from youtube or having to buy the usage rights on audiojungle. Would someone be interested?
